"The human body is divinely designed and has a great capacity to heal itself. We just need to learn how to fuel the body with what it needs. I am excited to use my knowledge of bioidentical hormones, integrative and functional medicine and weight loss to help my patients discover the root causes of their
illnesses and unlock their body's full potential." Malaika Woods, MD, MPH

I am a certified medical assistant who began working with Dr. Malaika Woods at the Lee’s Summit Center for Women’s Wellness in 2012. My primary focus is providing a compassionate and personalized patient care experience. This includes vitals administration, obtaining medical history information, phlebotomy, and phone triage. Additional tasks include assisting in office surgeries and procedures, scheduling surgeries, confirming insurance benefits, and general office needs.
I have a passion for health and wellness and feel blessed to work in an intimate office setting which allows a more personal, one-on-one experience with patients and co-workers. It is exciting to have the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with each patient and offer them a level of care based on their individual needs.
I am married with two children. We are a very active family and enjoy spending most of our time outdoors.
